Role: Head of Development

Location: Oslo area, Norway

Salary: 1.2m - 1.4m NOK + bonus and benefits

I am looking for an experienced Head of Development to lead an existing Tech Team, for a well established and leading Nordic SaaS company

About the Team

The team are a dynamic and collaborative group responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of our platform. They highly value commitment, ownership, and teamwork. While the office in central Oslo is a great place to collaborate, they also embraced flexible work-from-home options long before they became the norm.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement a strategic vision for software development within the organization.
• Oversee and manage the software development teams, ensuring the delivery of software, infrastructure, and architecture that meets customer needs.
• Cultivate a positive team environment, where individuals are encouraged to take ownership and deliver high-quality results.
• Facilitate effective communication within the development teams and across other departments.
• Ensure all teams adhere to Agile processes, maintaining consistency in delivery.
• Handle budgeting, resource allocation, and represent the tech department in discussions with external stakeholders.

What they need from you:

We are in search of an experienced leader who excels in motivating, building, and growing successful tech teams. You are someone who is accountable, dependable, and able to forge strong relationships with your team. You bring extensive experience in working with complex systems, both in maintaining existing codebases and developing new ones.

Would love you to have to follow:

• Proven experience in a software engineering, systems engineering, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing technical teams.
• Strong background in .NET technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, with bonus points for experience as a scrum master.
• SaaS background/experience
